(Robin Eaton)
It takes many chefs to create a feast, and A Feast of Carols is no exception. It starts with many behind-the-scenes collaborators and culminates in our annual holiday offering, served up by the brilliant Timberdale Brass, St. Paul's magnificent, sonorous (and recently restored) pipe organ, and topped off with words and sounds of the season sung by Mendelssohn Chorus's glorious ensemble. The brass quintet is at the floor of the piece, with the organ overlooking, and voices rising above to fill the space. Some of the words are chosen for their place in the programmed music and others are included as more general terms of celebratory themes from various faiths.
