Erik Potteiger is a professional singer, percussionist, pianist, and composer currently based in Philadelphia, PA. He received his Bachelors of Music in Choral Music Education and Vocal Performance from the University of South Carolina. Erik has performed vocally as a bass in ensembles and solo setting across a plethora of cities and states in the US, as well as eight countries across three continents. A few of the professional vocal ensembles Erik has worked with include the Voces8 US Scholars Ensemble (London, England), The Cathedral Singers (Columbia, SC), The Cecilia Ensemble (Augusta, GA), Choral Arts Philadelphia, CORO Vocal Artists (Des Moines, IA), Coro Vocati (Atlanta, GA), Philadelphia Symphonic Choir, The Princeton Singers (Princeton, NJ), The Red Shift (Baton Rouge, LA), TenÄ“o (Philadelphia, PA), Vox Fidelis (Bordentown, NJ), The Washington Chorus (Washington, D.C.) and Women’s Sacred Music Project (Lafayette Hill, PA). He is also a founding member of Convoco, a professional choral ensemble based in the Philadelphia region.


An active church musician, Erik appears frequently as both a cantor and staff singer in the Tri-state area. His prior church residencies include St. Thomas 5th Ave (New York, NY), Christ Church Cathedral (Dublin, Ireland), Durham Cathedral (Durham, England), Exeter Cathedral (Exeter, England), Southwark Cathedral (London, England), St Albans Cathedral (St Albans, England) and St. Patrick’s Cathedral (Dublin, Ireland).


Erik has musically collaborated with instrumental ensembles nationally, including The Philadelphia Orchestra, Brandywine Brass, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Germantown Oratorio Orchestra, North Carolina Baroque Orchestra, Philadelphia Bach Collegium, Philadelphia Brass, Philharmonia Orchestra of New York, Quartetto Obrigado, Reading Symphony Orchestra and members of Tempesta di Mare. Away from his multi-genre performing engagements he enjoys teaching, video and audio editing, producing, recording, as well as creating virtual ensemble content and practice tracks.
