ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Illustrating the divine connection between music and spirituality, singer Barbara Berry created a paper stencil for this original design of an illuminated stained glass window and rendered the vibrant window and angels with soft pastels on black sanded paper. The central rosette of the rose window, a symbol of the Virgin Mary and Christ, represents the perfection and unity of creation, while the angels evoke a celestial choir, reminding us of the human experience of spirit made manifest in art of the highest order.
