
Erik Stenswold is a lifelong musician, singer, and the current Director of Music and Choral Activities at St. Augustine Preparatory School, and Choir Director of First Presbyterian Church in Hamilton Square. Stenswold performs extensively as a professional singer; he first appeared as a soloist at Carnegie Hall in 2017, and continues to perform with professional ensembles, most notably as a baritone in
Choral Chameleon and
The Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia. As a conductor, Stenswold has performed with amateur and professional choral ensembles both domestically and abroad. As a composer, Stenswold has had works performed by
Scape Trio, as well as church choirs, and high schools across the east coast; and he continues to write for the ensembles at
St. Augustine Prep and
Hamilton Square. Stenswold holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Performance from Concordia College, NY, and a Master’s Degree in Choral Music Education from Hunter College.
