Flo Gardner joined Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia as Executive Director in December 2017 after spending three years on the board and over 10 years as a singer. Flo came to Mendelssohn Chorus from the Nonprofit Finance Fund where she managed and improved the consulting team’s ability to document and gain business insights from the financial and program outcomes of their work. Previously, she spent eight years in business development and fundraising at DataArts (formerly the Cultural Data Project) helping transform the organization from a program of the Pew Charitable Trusts to an independent 501(c)3. Prior to joining DataArts, she served as senior program associate at the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage. A mezzo-soprano and a former food truck owner, Flo holds a Bachelor of Music in education from Temple University and a Master of Science from Drexel University’s arts administration program.
