Flo Gardner is a dynamic arts administrator and nonprofit leader with over 20 years of experience in cultural organization management, fundraising, and strategic development. As Executive Director of the Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia since 2017, Gardner has led the organization through a period of growth and transformation while strengthening community engagement and building organizaitonal infrastructure. Prior to her current role, Gardner brought her expertise to several prominent cultural institutions. At DataArts, she managed multi-million-dollar grant portfolios and expanded the organization's reach into six new states. Her experience includes positions at the Nonprofit Finance Fund, where she developed comprehensive staff training programs, and the Pew Center for Arts and Heritage, where she contributed to capacity building grant-making and professional development initiatives. Gardner's entrepreneurial spirit is demonstrated by her co-founding of Foolish Waffles, an award-winning food truck recognized by Philadelphia Magazine and Food Network. She holds a Master of Science in Arts Administration from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Music in Education from Temple University.
